Dr. Vadivelu Santhakumar is the Lead Family Physician at Center City Medical Clinic which is a Multi service Primary Care clinic in Mississauga in operation for over 20 years. He continues to maintain privileges at the Trillium Health Partners hospital in Mississauga, He is also part of the clinical teaching staff at the Mississauga Campus, University of Toronto-School of Medicine.

He has been an active member and supporter for Canadian Tamil Congress since inception and was the chair for CTC for the years 2017-2019.

​

He is the Co-founder, Past President, current Director of the Canadian Tamil Medical Association (CTMA), previously known CMDDA, a registered Charity in Canada.

​

He organized health education seminars for new immigrant community, participated in health care related Radio and Television shows.

​

Dr. Santhakumar organized, participated in many fundraising activities for these organizations over the years to provide medical humanitarian assistance to the needy.

​

He is also one of the founding directors for the prior Tami Vision Inc (TVi) and maintained this position through difficult times till the end.

​

He negotiated the way out for this community-based media to prevent bankruptcy with the recent asset sale. This paved the way for the Eekai foundation to continue service to the vulnerable affected Tamil community.

Dr. Santhakumar is a recipient of Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee award and Ontario volunteer service award in appreciation of his volunteer service to the community at large.
