Board of Directors
Eekai Foundation is a Canadian charity organization founded with a desire to unite those who believe in humanitarian efforts. It is a non-political, non-religious organization with a vision of openness, collaboration and complete transparency. Its objective is to become a hub for the numerous Tamil Canadian organizations and individuals who provide assistance to northern and eastern Sri Lanka as well as empower Tamil Canadian youth.
As a community hub, Eekai Foundation will seek out great initiatives and provide financing, volunteer services and operational expertise to help these initiatives succeed. Our focus is on providing resources where we believe we can have the greatest impact.
Eekai Foundation began with the generous contribution from the proceeds of the sale of Tamil Vision Inc. which will provide the seed funding of over $1 Million CAD over the next 5 years.
Eekai Foundation is founded on the generosity of the Tamil community in Canada and urges every Tamil Canadian to continue to take part in the Foundation in some form or shape. This will be a foundation driven by our community to assist our community members in Sri Lanka and Canada.
Eekai Foundation aims to be an inspiration for Tamil Expatriates around the globe to form their own Eekai Foundation in their respective home countries.

Eekai Foundation Mission
Eekai Foundation will be a fully transparent, non-religious, non-political Canadian non-profitable organization.
Eekai Foundation will act as a community hub to provide resources (Finance, Knowledge, Volunteer Access, Operational Expertise, etc.) to other partner organizations focusing mainly in war afflicted Northern and Eastern parts of Sri Lanka and on Youth empowerment in Canada.
Eekai Foundation will work in partnership with other established, transparent, and well-governed organizations in Sri Lanka to carry out their objectives.
Eekai Foundation will raise funds and other resources by bringing together donors, volunteers, students, NOPs and charitable organizations through various channels.
